Houston Bar Association Hosts Alan for a 3-Hour Ethics CLE

Maximize Resolution's Value:
The Ethical Touchdown Before The Endzone

Mediation timing matters. Wait too long to settle, fees chew up your client’s value. Settle too early, lose the value of pressing your client’s strongest position. As a client’s advisor, counsel owes ethical duties to consider alternative paths to resolution. We’ll talk out practical skills to advise clients and make the most of mediation at any stage of a case.

Advanced Mediation Advocacy and Ethics:
Drive for Show, Putt for Dough

Long drives turn heads; putting skills win tournaments and fans. Trial practice is the same. Over 95% of disputes settle before the long drive to trial. The mediation session is often the closest thing to the client’s day in court. We’ll talk out client-centered advanced mediation and advocacy skills – like advising the client on the mediation process and timing, preparation, and strategy, and ways to effectively work with mediators. Our goal: Your clients will come running back to you and send their friends too.
