With Expanded Jurisdiction Over Trade Secrets
Building on a strong inaugural year, the Texas Business Courts now have concurrent jurisdiction over disputes about trade secrets and other intellectual property. The plaintiff might prefer to file in Business Court, or the defendant may find it advantageous to remove there. The two sitting Business Court judges will discuss their court's new jurisdiction — along with their court's procedures for injunctive relief, emergency motions, sealing the record, trial settings, scheduling orders, and more.
